British conductor Bramwell Tovey made his name in 1986 stepping in at the last minute to conduct one of Leonard Bernstein's concerts.

The legendary composer sat in the audience, and a friendship between these two musical greats soon formed.

We're thrilled to be welcoming Bramwell back to Melbourne later this year to celebrate the 
life of his friend.
